Capcom's Marvel vs. Capcom 3 LA 'Fight Club' detailed
Los Angeles, want to get your Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on?
Capcom's bringing its 'Fight Club' to Los Angeles next week, February 3. The deal is free food, early hands on with this year's biggest fighting game, and Seth Killian will be around making you all feel bad about your skills.
Additionally, sounds like there will be a live band, some voice actors on hand, and 'popular LA local food trucks.' Wait, I mentioned food already, didn't I? Well, it's important to eat. Don't forget that.
It's a 'first come first serve' kind of thing, and it starts at 8:00pm, so start lining up early.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3's alternate costumes' comic book origins explored
Apparently, a little bit more thought went into the alternate costumes of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 than just "hey, this outfit would probably look cool in red and black." IGN recently explored the canonical comic book origins of a handful of Marvel fighters' extra duds, including Storm's crimson X-Treme X-Men get-up, Dormammu's Strange Tales green-and-yellow armor, and Captain America's Red Guardian costume, which, as you probably sussed out, is pretty red.
It looks like Capcom (with a lot of help from Marvel, of course) is taking these character skins pretty seriously. We're happy to see that so much consideration went into these outfits -- but we can't wait to see how they explain all the different additional costumes for Capcom's fighters. "Oh, you don't remember that time that Haggar wore a bright purple chest-belt? That was a real thing that happened, we promise."

Capcom Store offers free shirt with Marvel vs. Capcom 3 pre-order
Are you looking for a fashion statement which will inform passersby that you could air juggle their pathetic frame for entire days with little to no effort? Good news: The Capcom Store is offering just such a shirt with pre-orders for Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds Special Edition.
The deal is only available to North American shoppers -- fortunately, this regional exclusivity means shipping for both the game and shirt is on the house. We're not sure how long the pre-order offer will be available, so you might want to strike while the iron is still hot.

The Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 release date is coming soon and if you are a collector like myself you might want to go ahead and reserve a copy of the special edition if you intend to get one on launch. If your local retailer stopped taking pre-orders, fear not. The Capcom store still is. Plus you'll get bonuses that you don't find elsewhere like free shipping and a limited edition shirt with your pre-order.
Here's what the special edition boxes look like :

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 European pre-order bonus: T-shirts!
Capcom has revealed the pre-order bonuses for Marvel vs Capcom 3 in Europe. ShopTo and GameStation pre-orderers will snag a comic or a SteelBook edition of the game, respectively, both of which are already part of the North American collector's edition.
Most retailers, however, will be offering some sweet T-shirts. There are seven different shirts, each unique to a different retailer. We're a bit partial to Blockbuster's tee, pictured above. Check out the other shirts in the gallery below.
