Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity is launching today for the PlayStation 3, Sony has announced. The service will offer up access to over six million music tracks from artists on both major and indie labels, all served up in the cloud.
It comes in two flavors: basic and premium. With basic, you can listen to music across a limited number of channels and genres, providing feedback on each song so the service can tailor it's choices to your preferences. Premiums service lets you access even more channels, search and entire database of music which you can play on demand, and even create custom playlists.
It all sounds a bit like Pandora or Last.fm, at least at the basic level, which sounds pretty great to me. Look for Music Unlimited to pop up on your PS3 XMB bar today; support for the PlayStation Portable will be added in the coming months.
