This week’s top 10 golazo list contains some of the biggest names in world football and it wasn’t easy to narrow it down.
(In particular, Mathieu Bodmer, Felipe Melo and Alberto Aquilani with a rare golazo header are extremely unfortunate to miss out on the main list.)
First up, Soren Berg claimed what will probably be goal of the season in Denmark before the Champions League comes into play, with a lightning goal from The Duck and a stunning free-kick from David Villa in an enthralling match at the Nou Camp.
Also from the premier European competition, we have Ivan Perisic’s wonder goal that secured a point for Borussia Dortmund at home to Arsenal and yet another golazo from the ageless Welsh wizard Ryan Giggs (not the first time he has scored away from home this year…)
The much maligned Europa League chips in with a fine strike from in-form America striker Jozy Altidore before Barcelona’s mauling of Osasuna provides the next two goals, a volley from Cesc and chip by Xavi, both set up by Lionel Messi.
Finally, the last couple of goals are two Premier League screamers by Luka Modric and Nani.
All that’s left to say, is our regular final line: sit back and enjoy!
