Based on a post from the Windows Team blog, it appears as though users are indeed heading 'to the cloud!' Live Mesh -- the company's cross-device synchronization and remoting platform -- now boasts more than 5 million connected devices.
From those devices, 3 million users have pushed more than 2.2 petabytes to the Windows Live cloud. That's a whole lotta data -- but we wonder how much higher that statistic would be if Microsoft let us use the full 25GB of SkyDrive space for syncing...
